Carboxy – What In The World Does That Mean?

January 21, 2011 | Author: | Posted in 3 D TV

I will be completely sincere with you, the first time I heard the phrase “carboxy” I had a big frown on my forehead. I had no clue what the term meant and was contemplating anything from a box shaped car to a thing that vaguely has a resemblance to an expression I should have recalled from high school science class!

So for those of you around who have more or less the same bewildered look on your face at the moment, herewith a bit more information:
Carboxy is a groundbreaking (relatively new) way of dramatically improving the appearance of cellulite. This is done by improving local tissue metabolism and perfusion. I’m sure that most of you, particularly the female readers, are now sitting forward and looking at your computer screen, wanting to know more.

Firstly, you can loosen up – it is not a surgical method. A tiny needle (roughly 0.3mm in diameter) is used to infiltrate carbon dioxide (CO2) into subcutaneous tissue. This carbon dioxide then quickly spreads out into adjoining cells.

Is it dangerous? No, it isn’t! CO2 is produced by our tissue every day. It is just a byproduct of metabolism. CO2 is transported in your blood and the surplus is exhaled through the lungs, so it’s not an unsafe chemical. It is therefore a safe treatment with no negative effects.

So why would you want carbon dioxide injected into your tissues? Carbon dioxide kills fat cells! There we go, the secret is revealed! Subsequently CO2 brings about dilation of blood vessels which allows for stronger blood circulation to the area, which results in an increase in oxygen. This will consequently reduce the accumulating of fluid between the cells. This leaves you with a lowering of fat cells and firmer subcutaneous tissue.

This sounds quite agonizing, right? Not at all! You possibly can experience a light tingling sensation when the CO2 is being injected, but his will vanish in a couple of seconds. If is also possible to experience a warmer feeling around the area where the CO2 was injected – this is 100% normal and is due to the increased blood circulation.

Carboxy won’t deliver immediate results. A noticeable difference can usually be observed after 5 sessions and between 15 and 20 sessions might be required to get rid of that unwanted orange peel skin. Sessions usually are quite short and will only take up 10 – 15 minutes of one’s day.

Remember that your lifestyle has a big impact on dimply skin. If you stick with your junk and fatty take-away meals and never get off your living room couch, the lumpy skin will return. If you exercise and eat healthy, the carboxy results can last for years!

So if you’re looking to get rid of that nasty cellulite and end up getting a more younger looking skin, this might be a good procedure for you to think about! I’ll have to stop writing now so that I can phone my nearest health clinic and see if they offer this fantastic treatment!
