At the local flea market, there are mexicans selling knit sweaters. No buttons , it goes over your head and is pointed at the bottom like a poncho. Very beautiful. Is poncho the right word for them?

Yea its called a poncho…people used to wear them all the time in the early 2000′s but they are out of style now.

Somethings actually never go out of style. Especially for me.
If I like it & it does me justice, I’ll wear it.
Yes Viv, it’s called a poncho.
I have made some of these for summer wear & kept them.
One in particular is a solid neutral color with dark brown cross stitch embroidery in each corner. I put a 2″ heavy lace all around the square poncho. I bought the pattern & many people have offered to pay me to make them one. It is very rich looking & oh so cool.
    Blessings to you girl.
