2. People who always don’t have enough sleep may gain weight since this can alter our normal metabolic processes. More waking hours means more work for our bodies, including changeability of the levels of our hormones. We tend to think that we need to eat more because of this hormonal changes which of course leads to putting on weight.

3. When people lack sleep, they are putting themselves in great danger since they are feeling sleepy and tired the rest of the day, thus, they don’t think well. This can cause accidents since they are not thinking clearly. Because we feel sleepy, our work gets affected and we can’t be able to deliver the results expected from us. This is very dangerous when we are driving. Though most of us really try our hardest to stay focused while driving, the truth is, we just can’t control it once our brain is too tired and our body shuts down. Our brain works the hardest when we are awake. Thus, for it to be able to slow down and recharge, we need to take a few hours daily.

4. Moodiness – Lacking sleep results to irritability, impatience and poor concentration. Therefore, you feel tired to do the things that you need to do.

It is, in fact, detrimental when we have to work but our body is telling us to rest. The absence of harmony in our bodily processes causes us to be stressed out.
