Primarily grown in the Northern hemisphere they thrive in dry and warm climate. Apple trees look as lovely in full bloom as any other ornamental flowering specimen trees. There are different varieties of apple trees grown to suit both, weather and soil conditions.

There are several factors taken into consideration before planting them. They are: – apple variety and rootstock, site selection, proper planting, training and pruning, adequate fertility, and pest control. The rootstock mainly determines the relative size of the tree. It does not affect the type or quality of fruit that the tree bears. Different rootstocks are desirable for various reasons. Firstly because they can control the size of the apple tree, secondly as they reduces the time the tree takes to reach its fruit-bearing age and lastly it offers some pest resistance.
