History of Bow Ties
A bow tie is classic neckwear that is commonly worn with a tuxedo. The history of bow tie can be traced back to the Croatian mercenaries in the seventeenth century. During that time, the Croatian used to tie a scarf around their necks to hold the opening of their shirts. The French aristocrats later adopted the practice. It was a widespread practice during the 18th and 19th centuries. Later, the cravat was improvised which leads to the invention of bow tie.

Traditionally, the bow tie is made from a fixed length of clothed based on the neck size of the wearer. The size of the bow tie is approximately the same as the collar of the shirt. Normally, the fixed length bow tie is worn by people who participated in a formal occasion. The bow ties are adjustable so that it can be used with less formal shirt. When technology advanced, a company invented the one size fit all bow tie which is suitable for all occasion. The one size fit all bow ties has cut down the production cost significantly.
