Self Expression Individuality And School Uniforms
Should school uniforms be made mandatory is something which is always discussed about and many parents or private schools are against this as they say it gives a limitation for a child to self express and showing up his individuality. But, most of the teachers, psychologists and school authorities are of the opinion that it reduces unnecessary fights among students. One of the problems which most of the schools face these days is that of discipline. As most of the student comes from a family background where discipline is not stressed much, they don’t know how to behave among people or in a crowd. This problem aggravates when they leave homes and reach schools. In such situations, when they see someone without school uniforms, they tend to provoke a fight with that person as these indiscipline students are always on the look out for fights. Yet, there are private schools who insist up on uniforms as they say that these students force themselves to find other ways to self express as they know they cannot do it through their way of dressing as it is not allowed to come in other dresses. It is far better to be in school uniforms as this can control the situation in schools to some extent.
