Can you do article marketing without using your given name?
ie. Can you use a business name instead?
I want to create an online business i can easily sell,
so i don’t want it tied to my identity.
thanks

Absolutely you can. Many article writers have a “pen name” they often due to what they are writing about and for the very reason you give. If you pick a business name like Johnson’s Ltd., it may come across as odd to readers who know that people write articles, not businesses – so you may want to go with a pen name instead.
Good Luck with the business!
It’s quite common to use a different pseudonyms in article and blog signatures that suit the product being promoted. A woman’s name for fashion, an important sounding name with as middle initial for health products. Usually just the payment processors need your real info. People marketing multiple products through articles will maintain separate account, so each persona appears keep to their specialty.
One example David D’Angelo author of a dating series, now sells marketing tutorials under his real name Eban Pagen (He thought his name too odd for a ladies man).
Yes, You can.
Lot of people write using the other name in article directories.
