Mrsa Infection – Types

MRSA infection are caused by the bacterium named staphylococcus which is available everywhere and can be easily spread from one person to another through various means. There are several types of mrsa infection and each type varies depending on the cause of that particular type and the symptoms associated with the respective type of infection. Some of the types of infections caused by MRSA that are recognized globally by the medical community are: 1. CA-MRSA: Community acquired MRSA (CA-MRSA) is a type of infection that spreads in a person due to the setup of the environment in which the person resides or spends most of their time. In case a person hasn’t been hospitalized for nearly one year and if that person is affected with MRSA, then such an infection is categorized as CA-MRSA. This type of mrsa infection is caused when a person comes in contact with MRSA affected surfaces such as tables, floors, sports equipment and exercise equipment. 2. HA-MRSA: Health care associated MRSA are the type of infections that affects the persons when they visit the health care offices or are admitted in the health care offices. This type of infection generally affects persons who have an immune system that is not strong enough and it can affect the lungs and blood of the infected person. 3. Skin Infections: This is the most common type of mrsa infection and it appears like a boil or a simple pimple on the skin.
